Sandy Backlund

Part farmer, part English major, part artist, Sandy loves to spend time savoring those heart-stopping moments only nature can provide.  She calls her craft "plein air photography" capturing the moment's mood and natural light.

Ansel Adams once shared that if he created twelve good images in a year, he considered it "a good crop," hence the name of Sandy's business, alluding both to Adam's perspective and on her own ability to compose the subject to best express its essence.
