My art is my heart and soul. I began drawing at a very young age and found that the fantasy world in which I lived protected me from the horrors of my dysfunctional family. Horses captured my imagination and brought me excitement and peace at the same time. My mother enrolled me in art school at twelve and I have been creating art ever since.
When I see the subject come alive as I work my heart wells with joy. There is always one aspect within each piece that I particularly like, quite often the eyes. The grace and power of the horse still inspires me.
Moving to Colorado has brought new inspiration, a sense of freedom I hadn’t experienced before and a deeper love for my art and the creative process.
